Poker

Imagine you’re invited to play poker, one-on-one. With someone you’ve know longer than you havent. Should be fun.

Imagine having a great time, the pot going back and forth, you win some, you lose some. Everyone seems happy.

Imagine as you play more often, your partner becomes more competitive. You’re losing more, but your partner is happy and you’re still having a good time.

Imagine being told you’re not betting enough, not putting enough in, so you up your anty, matching their game play. But you still continue to lose more often.

Imagine risking it all, going all in, only for your partner to be bluffing and beat your 3 of a kind by 2 pair. Losing again. Seem the harder you try the harder you fall. This isnt as much fun.

Imagine loving the game, and the time you spend with your partner so much that you keep coming back when you get more chips. You express gow you’d like a fairer game. But each time you walk away you’re empty handed.

Imagine stressing yourself out to get more chips, running yourself ragged. And yet you play, and walk away with nothing. But your partner boasts about how this is their favorite thing so you want to see them happy.

Imagine you keep playing, until you just can’t do it any more. You’ve exhausted yourself and any option for chips. So you tell them, you dont want to play any more.

Then, just then

Imagine your partner offering to actually play fair this time. But you still need to bring your own chips.

Just imagine
